At Denise W. Wrenn & Associates we believe case management is one of the most effective tools in controlling indemnity and medical expenses associated with disability, chronic illnesses/injuries, and workers’ compensation cases.

Nurse case management services are provided by Registered Nurses (RN’s), with a minimum certification in case management (CM). Many of our nurses hold additional specialty certifications in fields such as Workers’ Compensation, Disability Management, Occupational Health, Life Care Planning, and more.

Our service goal is to improve patient care, education all parties, coordinate care, achieve the optimal level .of recovery, improve return to work results, alleviate wasted resources, and establish an effective action plan to reduce cost.

Catastrophic Case Management

Catastrophic case management involves illnesses or injuries that serious, life-changing, and potentially life threatening and require immediate intervention. Proper management of a catastrophic injury or illness can improve recovery and delay unnecessary or excessive cost associated with the claim.

At Denise W. Wrenn & Associates our experience, expertise and dedication to recognize and respond urgently to the immediate needs of the injured claimant assures the most appropriate care is received while providing family support and reassurance.

Our case managers are their throughout the process to develop, implement and coordinate with the treatment team to develop a comprehensive plan to facilitate the most appropriate treatment. The case manager maintains communication to the employer and adjuster, while assisting the family as the focus on medical recovery.

Field Medical Case Management

Field case management services include establishing early contact with the claimant and treatment providers to assist with the claim.

An assessment is conducted to evaluate medical status, coordinate medical care with the claimant, treating providers, and therapist to determine expected length of treatment, work capability and case direction recommendations.

The case manager maintains ongoing communication with key stakeholders, medical providers, employers and adjusters.

Telephonic Case Management

Telephonic case management is designed as an early intervention. The focus is to establish advocacy/education and ensure medically appropriate care is provided while focusing on reducing medical and indemnity cost.

The case manager conducts a medical needs assessment to evaluate, determine and coordinate optimal treatment options.

Treatment is managed proactively in accordance with protocol-based guidelines designed to promote recovery, eliminate unnecessary cost and ensure the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders.

Task Assignments

Task assignments are designed as a short-term goal directed tasks dictated by the case manager to convey vital information to the treating providers, employer, claimant and other health care professionals.

This process assures appropriate care and treatment in a timely, cost efficient manner along with speed of communication therefore eliminating the lag time often associated with care coordination and claims management.
